Chris Tobin is a Darug man, living in Katoomba and working extensively across Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains – the traditional country of his people.
Chris works as a cultural presenter for the National Parks and Wildlife Service and is involved in a number of projects and advisory groups that work to further Aboriginal education, environmental responsibility and social justice.
His daughter Jessica Tobin is an emerging artist, student of art history and an assistant curator at Newcastle University. She created Biyanga guyun in 2019 as a way of supporting her father and passing on his knowledge.
